11h am, Osaka
We are waiting our next flight to Okinawa tasting a macha-latte.
We arrived well ahead yesterday at the airport, which allowed us to have a stress level near zero. We flew over the Alps, already dusted with snow thanks to the rains fallen in recent days. From the sky, the earth is still incredibly beautiful.
In Paris, things were a little more complicated: there is little explanation or indication leading to the international zone of Roissy. The passport control was endless: two to three counters open for a compact and dense crowd. Long live France.
Comparing Air France and Emirates, the company we had taken last time, the latter offers more comfort. We got settled, but Emirates has more soft blankets, a mini toothbrush and toothpaste in a micro welcome pack and above all something that I would have appreciated: earplugs. A baby cried a lot during the trip, and I think no one really slept.
The melatonin cure has really had its effect: just after having swallowed the tablet I felt asleep , even if it was only 17h in France. Despite the somewhat sporty night, I do not feel exhausted, Xim either, although we will greatly appreciate a shower and a good night’s sleep.
The passage of immigration was very long in Japan, but it was also extremely well organized. The queues are well made: as you walk a little all the time, we always have the impression of advancing. A first control takes fingerprints and photo, then it is the turn of the “visa”. There are many personal assistants for all these operations, which is very reassuring.
The primary mission of Xim was to go for the WiFi box waiting for us at the terminal station 1. We are now connected to the world (or at least the network).
Now, we wait in Terminal 2 to take our flight to Naha.
I think I really missed the macha-latte.
20h30 Okinawa
We landed like a brick in Okinawa, thanks to a Peach pilot, a violet low cost company. The terminal 2 in Naha is a little unfinished, but it works. I did not require more.
We took a shuttle bus and we arrived to terminal 1, where we were able to buy tickets for the Aquarium of Okinawa. Xim complained a little about it: everything went so well, so properly indicated that there are no challenge to overcome. Good personally it suits me. The airport is 7 monorail stations to our hotel. The engine is extremely smooth and silent flying between the buildings. The vision is very futuristic. It is a little Gotham city, version Hawaii. Because it is hot and wet: 30 degrees here when we were freezing in the Air France plane.
Tonight we found a restaurant that served us vegetables on a background of Hawaiian music. It was very picturesque, with the cooks yelling at every order, thanking customers.
Despite the nap on the plane, we are cooked. A good night sleep awaits us before the greatest adventures.
