We left Koyasan Friday morning, after prayer and breakfast.
We arrived in Kyoto at 12.30am with a few small incidents in Osaka to get our suitcase: basically we had to get out of the “station” area to get it back (so, to negotiate an exit-entry with the controllers), and it was still necessary to pay the days of guard knowing that the machine does not take big notes and … in short, we recovered our super suitcase.
These last two days were devoted to the last purchases of small souvenirs and other gifts, while walking quietly in Kyoto. It is still very mild and we had today especially a very nice and sweet autumn day. The maple trees are not really there, but we happily had eyes full of colors in Koyasan.
For those who wonder, yes, Xim had his Gundam. He now has 3 months to mount it, otherwise, I will send it back to Japan: and for me, yes, we went to the shop Totoro of Kyoto.
Among the beautiful things of these last days, let’s mention a competition of Yosakoi. It is a type of dance mixing traditional and modern dance, in group. We were lucky to see some very impressive performances by young dancers.
We also saw beautiful little children doing their Shichi-go-san: for their 3, 5 and 7 year olds, they go to the shinto temple for a blessing.
We walked through a craft market. And we went to a “sushis belt”. Xim was happy.
