Handy advise, not very glamorous, from Marie:
I was a bit little stressed, until not long time ago, because I was missing two essential things: a backpack and a jacket.
My old backpacks are not very practical, not always comfortable or in the wrong format (too big or too small, obviously). It was very important to combine the comfort, a practical aspect, and the appearance.
So I went with Xim in our favorite sports shop (in fact, I looked online before), we discarded the hiking bags that are too… hiking, and I set my sights on a… snowboard bag. It is fantastic, with lots of pockets, comfortable and does not “I’m going to conquer Annapurna”, which is not bad when we walk in town. As a snowboard bag/ski/snow sports, I think it will be very comfortable, and it is equipped with a system to tilt the bag ahead quickly (very useful for lifts).
For the jacket, I had nothing of any intermediary between the winter wool coat windbreaker and a small one I used especially when we would run around the lake or on the beach (it seems to me there has been an eternity since last time…).
So I opted for hiking jacket, windbreaker, waterproof, with a removable fleece lining. In fact, Xim has exactly the same, but in black (I have the light gray one) and in L-man size, while mine is a XS-woman 😛
This is probably silly, but I feel a little more relaxed, knowing that I will not be cold and I can walk long distances without breaking my back.
Note: we purchased hiking shoes in October, I think, and we put them on a regular basis, so we will not have the syndrome of new shoes that bruises your feet. My little brother also gave me some flight stockings, which will prevent me from having feet doubled in size and having bruised them in the shoes.
wouhou 🙂 week end efficace 🙂 fin prête, dans les startings blocks?
