I talk back, because we had already stayed here from March to April 2014. The place marked me a lot and I longed wished to return, this time to spend a little more time in the nature.
The ride from Beppu took place without incident: we sit on the train, we read a little, and it is already time to take our correspondence. Now that we are in Miyajima, I feel that we left Beppu two weeks ago.
This time it was a splendid time when we arrived. We enjoyed the city, the promenade along the sea and of course the great Shinto shrine that is the jewel of the city. This is also without too much surprise I learned that Miyajima is twinned with the Mont Saint Michel.
Today we went to the assault of Mount Misen. A quiet hike, as we rode part of the path thanks to the cable. The final section to the summit of mount is still very steep. The weather was already cloudy and we could admire on one side the country of Hiroshima, from the other, the Shikoku island, topped with blue mist that made an unreal landscape.
We headed off on a well-marked path but sometimes quite dangerous: the stone steps are numerous and have proved slippery with the light rain that began to fall.
We saw some trees with flaming foliage, but still little of them.
