It is with great pleasure that I announce you that I am now a 3rd kyu of Aikido.
We had a passing grade last night and our revered Sensei decided to give me the grade.
Shodan is still very, very far: Eric Sensei always corrects my errors – and every time I wonder how I do not remember what he told me. He will probably correct me my whole life and that’s fine: I must learn how to fall properly, it is especially important that I face my fear of falling. And I should improve all known techniques.
When passing grade, I always find myself a bit silly, to blank on techniques which I know the names, I’ve done 100 times, for which Eric Sensei has already given me billions of corrections… but suddenly, because of the stress, it is a drama.
But the main thing is the progress I made since 4 years…
